As the world slowly starts to reopen, the decision to travel – and what to do while you’re travelling – is a very personal one.
We want you to feel comfortable and confident in your decision-making, despite the uncertainties of our current situation. Health and safety shouldn’t have to take a back seat to having an unforgettable experience if we’re doing things right.
Now, more than ever, we are committed to supporting our community. They have worked hard this year in difficult conditions. We salute them and want to make sure they are able to continue with their livlihoods for years to come.
To that end, we pledge to dowhat we can to create a safe experience for our guests, our local partners, and our community. We believe that we’re all in this together and that we each have the power to take steps to reduce the possibility of viral transmission, to protect ourselves and those around us.
That being said, no one can guarantee the elimination of all risks related to COVID-19 and it is up to you to determine whether or not those risks are acceptable to you.
We want to explain our policies regarding health, safety, and trip flexibility and answer any questions you may have.
We have implemented our health and safety practices in accordance with regulations and guidelines from the South Africa government, as well as the World Travel and Tourism Council’s ‘Safe Travels’ framework and in consultation with various experts.
For Our Guests
We have always and will continue to honour a 100% refund policy in regards to COVID-19 cancellations. We encourage the option to take a voucher – which guarantees your stay price against future increases and helps us to plan and maintain our cash flow – but we understand that may not always be an option in today’s uncertain world. Either way, you don’t have to worry.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your reservation and it’s COVID-19 related, let us know. We will make a plan. We want everyone to stay safe, so if you feel symptoms coming on, please stay home.
We are asking guests to be honest with a self covid symtom assesment at check-in. For the safety of our other guests, staff, and community, guests who exhibit symptoms that have been linked with COVID-19 – fever, cough, trouble breathing – or who have been in contact with someone with the disease in the last 14 days will not be allowed to check in. Lets all be responsible here
In compliance with South African regulations, we require that our guests bring their own masks and wear them covering nose and mouth at all times. Masks may only be taken off to eat.
Tables are arranged to comply with South African distancing regulations. We also ask our guests to do their best to maintain a safe distance between themselves whenever possible and be sensitive to the fact that different people may have differing levels of comfort with people outside their household.
Hand sanitizer will be available to guests at all times and we encourage frequent use – especially before eating.
We have developed a contactless check in procedure where you scan a QR code on the reception desk and can do all checking requirements through your phone
We take the health of our guests, our community, and our staff very seriously. Anyone not complying with the health and safety guideline set down here will be denied service. We encourage you to ask questions or say something if you feel uncomfortable at any time during (or even after) your stay. We also reserve the right to cancel bookings if we feel the current conditions pose an unacceptable risk.
